RENEERGY, in collaboration with the Cruzeiro do Sul University (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and the LDH Engineering Company, has developed the STEEL-CS Software. This idea arises from the need to be able to foresee the behavior of the steel in contact with the soil due to the proliferation, in photovoltaic plants, of the use of the drilling of metallic pillars as a foundation solution.

Through this software it is possible to know, not only the behavior of the degradation of the steel, but also the amount lost in 1 to 25 year period, in order to be able to estimate the sacrifice steel thickness needed to be taken into account in the design of the foundation element. This concept is understood as the coat of steel to be added to the steel structural thickness required for a correct functionality of the element in the structure to be designed.

This tool joins RENEERGY’s software suite providing their clients with a better product with a greater guarantee.
